The Basilica of St. Michael (Basilique Saint-Michel) is a Flamboyant Gothic church in the Saint-Michel quarter of Bordeaux, southwest France. Construction took place mainly between the 14th and 16th centuries and the building is notable for its ornate Gothic detailing.

A distinctive feature is the separate, freestanding bell tower which was constructed later and historically doubled as a civic watchtower. The tower is open to visitors and offers panoramic views over Bordeaux and the Garonne river.

The basilica interior comprises a large Gothic nave with chapels and rich decorative work from the late medieval period and later restorations. The church played an important role in the religious and civic life of the Saint-Michel neighbourhood over several centuries.

Located in the Saint-Michel district, the basilica is near Bordeaux’s riverfront and local streets, markets, and transport links, making it accessible from the historic centre.

By car it is only about 1-1.5 km southeast of Bordeaux city centre (roughly a 5-10 minute drive depending on traffic).

• Climb the basilica's separate bell tower (the Flèche) for panoramic views over Bordeaux - the tower is ticketed and can sell out, so book or arrive early if you want the climb.
