Bank of America Plaza (Atlanta)

Bank of America Plaza is a 20th-century skyscraper in downtown Atlanta and the tallest building in the city and state, notable for its slender profile and illuminated spire. The tower was completed in the early 1990s and serves primarily as commercial office space.

Its illuminated spire and height make it a major visual landmark on Atlanta’s skyline, visible across much of the central city. The building contains office floors, lobby spaces and service areas and is not primarily a public tourist attraction, though it is often photographed from nearby viewpoints. Access to upper floors is restricted to tenants and authorised visitors.

The tower was developed and completed during a period of major commercial construction in Atlanta and remains a focal point of the central business district. Its presence reflects late 20th-century corporate architecture and city-centre development patterns.
