How to Get to Awash National Park
Awash National Park lies along the Addis Ababa-Dire Dawa highway (the main eastbound route) and is east of Addis. Regular intercity buses and minibuses serve Awash town from Addis; the park entrance and lodge area are a short drive from the highway and from Awash town (local taxis or park transfer vehicles are used to reach gates and camps). Road access makes day trips possible from Addis by private car or organized tour.
