Athribis is an ancient Egyptian city and archaeological site in the eastern Nile Delta, in modern Qalyubiyya Governorate. It is known from pharaonic and later Greco-Roman sources under the Greek name Athribis.
The site contains ruins and archaeological remains that reflect successive periods of occupation, including pharaonic and Greco-Roman phases. Surface finds and excavations have produced temple remains, inscriptions and architectural fragments.
Athribis was an inhabited urban centre in antiquity and served as a regional centre during multiple historical periods. Its monuments and inscriptions document religious and administrative activity over centuries.
The site lies on the Nile Delta plain near the modern city of Banha (Banha) in Qalyubiyya Governorate, on the eastern side of the delta not far from the Greater Cairo region.
