Asella is most reliably reached overland from Addis Ababa; domestic air options are limited and subject to change. Road services - buses and private transfers - are the usual choices.
Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD): Most international visitors arrive in Addis Ababa and continue overland to Asella. Road transfer to Asella is roughly 4-6 hours by car depending on route and traffic; domestic flights to nearby regional airfields are limited.
Regional airports: Asella does have a local airport/airstrip historically used for domestic services, but scheduled commercial flights are limited - check current domestic routes before planning to fly directly into Asella.
Train: Ethiopia has very limited passenger rail service and it does not serve Asella as a practical option for most travellers.
