How to Get to Arinsal#
Arinsal is best reached by coach from Barcelona or Toulouse followed by a local bus or taxi to La Massana and Arinsal. Seasonal shuttle buses run during the ski season to connect resorts and lifts.
Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN), Spain: Arinsal and La Massana are commonly reached via Barcelona. Direct coach services go to Andorra la Vella; from there local buses or taxis run to La Massana/Arinsal. Expect coach fares around €25-€35 and total travel time to Arinsal of about 3-4 hours including transfer.
Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS), France: Another option - coaches run to Andorra la Vella and onward local connections to La Massana/Arinsal. Travel time from Toulouse is usually 2.5-3.5 hours with fares around €20-€35.
Train: No direct train to Andorra; use Barcelona Sants or Toulouse and continue by coach.
Bus: Intercity coaches arrive at Andorra la Vella; local buses connect Andorra la Vella with La Massana and Arinsal. In winter there are additional shuttle services to ski lifts; check local timetables for seasonal departures and ski-bus links.
How to Get Around Arinsal#
Arrive by coach to Andorra la Vella then use local buses, shuttles or taxis to reach Arinsal. Seasonal ski shuttles make winter access straightforward; walking is ideal once in the village.
- Intercity Coach (€20-€35) - Coaches from Barcelona and Toulouse to Andorra la Vella are the usual arrival method. From the terminal take a local bus or taxi to La Massana/Arinsal; reserve ahead in high season.
- Ski Shuttle / Seasonal Bus (€2-€10) - During winter there are extra shuttle services to ski areas and lift stations serving Arinsal. These are often timed with flight/coach arrivals and resort schedules - buy tickets early in peak times.
- Local Bus (€1.50-€3.00) - Local buses link La Massana, Arinsal and Andorra la Vella regularly. They are cheap and reliable for short journeys, though frequencies increase in peak tourist seasons.
