Anu – Museum of the Jewish People

ANU - Museum of the Jewish People is a national museum located on the campus of Tel Aviv University in the Ramat Aviv neighbourhood of Tel Aviv District, Israel. It was established as Beit Hatfutsot in 1978 and reopened in 2016 after a multi-year renovation and re-conceptualisation.

The museum’s permanent galleries present the cultural, social and religious history of Jewish communities across the globe through exhibits, multimedia displays and archival material. Visitors encounter thematic and regional displays, temporary exhibitions and educational programmes aimed at exploring Jewish identity and history.

The institution was founded in the late 20th century as a centre for diaspora history and has since expanded its role to include research, outreach and digital initiatives. The renovation in the 2010s updated exhibition design and improved conservation and visitor facilities.

ANU sits on the northern edge of Tel Aviv in the Ramat Aviv area on the university campus, accessible by road and public transport from central Tel Aviv.
