How to Get to Amuda
Amuda is in northeast Syria where air and land services are often disrupted; historically Qamishli is the nearest airport, but schedules and road access are subject to change. Always confirm current conditions locally before travel.
Qamishli / Qamishli Airport (KAC): Qamishli is the nearest airport to Amuda historically; however, commercial flight schedules in northeast Syria are irregular and services may be suspended. When flights operate, onward travel from Qamishli to Amuda is by road (minibus or taxi) and takes around 30-60 minutes depending on conditions.
Aleppo (ALP) / other regional airports: Aleppo lies further west; given security and operational uncertainties in the region, road travel from Aleppo to Amuda is long and services are unpredictable.
Train: Syria’s national passenger rail network does not provide reliable services to Amuda.
Bus / shared taxis: Travel in the area is primarily by road using shared taxis and minibuses when available. Services and safety vary greatly; check local and up‑to‑date sources before travel and expect irregular schedules and possible checkpoints.
