How to Get to Almyros#
Almyros is in Thessaly and is best reached via Volos (Nea Anchialos) or Larissa by road or regional bus. KTEL regional services and short taxi rides cover the final leg into town.
Nea Anchialos / Volos National Airport (VOL): Volos (Nea Anchialos) is the closest airport to Almyros. From Volos airport you can reach Almyros by regional bus (KTEL Magnesia) or taxi; road travel is around 30-50 minutes depending on stops.
Athens International (ATH): Athens is further away but offers many international connections; from Athens travel by bus or train to Volos or Larissa and then a short regional bus or drive to Almyros (several hours total).
Train: The nearest major rail hub is Larissa (Larisa) on the main Piraeus-Thessaloniki line; Larissa is about 40-50 minutes by road from Almyros. From Larissa you can catch regional buses or arrange a taxi for the short onward journey.
