Al Fateh Grand Mosque

Al Fateh Grand Mosque is one of Bahrain’s largest mosques, located in Manama and used for daily prayers, Friday services and public events. The complex combines large congregational spaces with a publicly accessible Islamic library.

The mosque’s interior contains a capacious main prayer hall and spaces for study and religious instruction; it is a focal point for religious life and large congregations. Many visitors come for architecture, guided visits and the library rather than only for worship.

Commissioned and built in the late 20th century, the mosque serves as both a place of worship and a centre for Islamic learning in Bahrain. Facilities were established to welcome both worshippers and educational visitors.

Situated in the Manama area of the Capital Governorate, the mosque is easily reached from the city centre and forms a recognizable landmark on the urban edge.
