How to Get to Ak-Jar, At-Bashy
Ak-Jar (At-Bashy district, Naryn Region) is reached primarily by road from Bishkek or Osh; air service into the immediate area is rare. Overland travel by shared minibus or private transfer is the normal approach for visitors to the highland districts.
Manas / Bishkek (FRU): Bishkek’s Manas International is the main international gateway for most travellers to Kyrgyzstan. From Bishkek you typically continue to Naryn/At-Bashy by road; shared marshrutkas and private transfers are common, and the drive to Naryn province takes several hours.
Naryn / regional airfields (limited): Naryn and some regional towns have small airstrips that occasionally receive charter or seasonal flights. Scheduled domestic air services are limited-check current timetables before planning to rely on air connections to At-Bashy.
