How to Get to Ajdovščina
Ajdovščina in western Slovenia is best accessed by bus from regional rail hubs (Nova Gorica) or by coach from Ljubljana, Trieste or the Slovenian coast. There is no direct mainline rail station in the town.
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU): The main international airport for Slovenia. From LJU take a shuttle or bus to Ljubljana city (about 25-35 minutes) and then an intercity bus toward Nova Gorica / Ajdovščina.
Trieste - Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (TRS) / Venice (VCE): Trieste and Venice are viable alternatives for western Slovenia; from Trieste you can reach Ajdovščina by regional bus via Nova Gorica or direct coach services.
Train: Ajdovščina does not have a mainline railway station; the nearest main rail access is Nova Gorica. From Nova Gorica or nearby stations take a bus or taxi to Ajdovščina.
