Aizanoi is an ancient Greco-Roman city in what is now Kütahya Province, western Turkey, notable for substantial Roman-period public architecture. Its preserved monuments include a large temple, market structure and civic buildings that illustrate Roman urban planning in Anatolia.
Key on-site remains are the Temple of Zeus - a prominent stone temple with a preserved podium and column bases - and the macellum, a multi-room market building uncovered and conserved in modern excavations. Visitors also encounter a large Roman stadium and other public structures that demonstrate the city’s civic functions.
Aizanoi developed from Hellenistic into Roman urban form and saw major construction during the Roman imperial period, when public buildings and monuments were erected. Modern archaeological work has focused on excavation and conservation of the principal monuments and inscriptions.
The ruins lie near the modern town of Çavdarhisar in Kütahya Province, western Turkey, set in agricultural lowlands with road access from regional centers.

Aizanoi is about 70 km from the city of Kütahya and accessible by road from Kütahya or Afyonkarahisar. The nearest larger transport hub with regular buses is Kütahya; from there hire local transport to Çavdarhisar.
