Agistri is a small island in the Saronic Gulf of Greece, administratively part of the Attica region. It is known for a mix of pine-covered hills and coastal beaches and is commonly visited on day trips and short stays from the Athens area.
The island’s low-rise development and wooded interior support walking and cycling, while a handful of small bays and beaches provide swimming and boat access. Accommodations and tavernas are concentrated in the main harbours and a few coastal villages.
Agistri lies southwest of the Attica mainland and close to other Saronic islands such as Aegina; typical access is by short ferry from the port of Piraeus or from neighbouring islands. The island’s proximity to Athens makes it a frequent weekend and day-trip destination.

Frequent ferries run from Athens (Piraeus) and from Aegina to Agistri - the trip from Piraeus is about 60-70 minutes depending on vessel. Smaller ferries and hydrofoils shorten the journey.
