Axum Airport (AXU): Axum is the nearest commercial airport for visitors heading to Adwa; from Axum the drive to Adwa is short (about 1-1.5 hours) by taxi or shared vehicle.

Mekelle Airport (MQX): Mekelle is a larger regional airport serving Tigray; from Mekelle the road journey to Adwa can take several hours by bus or car depending on route and conditions.

By Train & Bus

Train: Ethiopia’s rail network does not serve Adwa directly.
