Adam is an inland Omani town best reached by road from Muscat. There are no passenger trains; visitors normally arrive via Muscat International Airport and continue by coach or hired car.

By Air

Muscat International Airport (MCT): Muscat is the main international gateway for Adam and the Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate. From Muscat airport the drive to Adam typically takes about 3.5-4.5 hours by car or intercity coach, depending on route and stops.

Local airstrips: Adam itself is sometimes served by light aircraft or charter flights for private operators; scheduled commercial flights use Muscat.

By Train & Bus

Train: Oman does not currently have an operational national passenger rail network.

Intercity bus / coach: Mwasalat and other coach operators run services between Muscat and regional towns; there are scheduled coaches and shared taxis to Adam and nearby towns. Travel time from Muscat by road is several hours; book seats for weekend or holiday travel.
