Acrisure Stadium is an American football stadium on Pittsburgh’s North Shore in Pennsylvania, opened in 2001 as the primary outdoor sports venue for the city. It is the home stadium for the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.
The bowl-style stadium has seating configured for professional and college football and hosts NFL regular-season games, college football, concerts, and other large events. The venue sits along the Allegheny River and is adjacent to other North Shore attractions, providing views across to downtown Pittsburgh and short walking access to transit and riverfront paths.
Construction replaced the older Three Rivers Stadium and established a riverside sports complex on the North Shore. The facility has undergone periodic updates to suites, concessions, and branding since opening.
The stadium sits on the North Shore of Pittsburgh directly beside the Allegheny River, immediately northwest of downtown Pittsburgh and within walking distance of PNC Park and downtown transit links.

From Pittsburgh International Airport it is about a 20-25 mile (≈32-40 km) drive into the city center; follow I‑376 into downtown then follow signs for the North Shore. From downtown it’s roughly 1 mile (about a 15-25 minute walk) across the Allegheny River to the stadium. Pittsburgh Regional Transit runs buses to the North Shore and game-day shuttles/extra service are commonly provided; expect a short walk (5-15 minutes) from transit stops to stadium entrances.
