The 85 Sky Tower, also known as the Tuntex Sky Tower, is a mixed-use skyscraper in Kaohsiung with 85 floors above ground. At the time of its completion it was the tallest building in Taiwan and remains a prominent element of Kaohsiung’s skyline.
The building houses offices, a hotel component and retail spaces, and was developed as part of Kaohsiung’s late-20th-century urban development. Its vertical profile and columnar form make it a local landmark in the city centre.
The tower was completed during the 1990s and has served as a commercial and hospitality hub for southern Taiwan. It is located in central Kaohsiung and is visible from many parts of the urban core.

Take the Kaohsiung MRT to Sanduo Shopping District Station on the Red Line - 85 Sky Tower (Tuntex Sky Tower) is a short walk from that station in Lingya District. The tower is within a few minutes’ drive of central Kaohsiung (Kaohsiung Main Station) depending on traffic.

- Arrive in late afternoon so you can watch the sunset and then stay after dark for panoramic city and harbor lights-the tower's views are especially striking at dusk.
- Take the Kaohsiung MRT to Sanduo Shopping District station for the quickest access; that area also has shopping and dining if you're combining the observatory with other activities.
- Visit on a weekday evening to avoid weekend queues; if you want a quieter experience, book a weekday time slot rather than aiming for weekend peak hours.
