7 World Trade Center

7 World Trade Center is an office skyscraper in Lower Manhattan, New York City, rebuilt after the 2001 destruction of the original structure. The current tower is a 52-story commercial building completed in 2006.

The completed building rises to approximately 226 metres (741 feet) and contains office floors, retail space and a reinforced concrete core typical of modern high-rise design. It is part of the broader World Trade Center complex and contributes commercial office space to the Lower Manhattan business district.

The original 7 World Trade Center opened in 1987 and collapsed on September 11, 2001 after fires and structural damage sustained during the attacks on the World Trade Center. The replacement tower was designed by David Childs of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and was finished and opened to tenants in 2006.

The tower stands just north of the main World Trade Center plaza in Lower Manhattan, immediately adjacent to the main WTC site and Memorial; it is located within the dense commercial and civic area of Lower Manhattan.

Public access: There is no public observation deck; the building is primarily an office tower with limited public-access space at street level.
