Snuol is an isolated town in the Cambodian province of Kratie, located approximately 90kms from the border with Vietnam. Snuol has little to offer tourists apart from local culture and Skieng villages.
Traveling to Snuol by local bus or taxi is the most popular mean of getting here although the roads are not in good condition, with holes and mud sections commonplace. If coming from Vietnam there is an official border crossing at the town of Trapeang Phlong, which is 44kms southeast of Memot.
Snuol has an impressive double boulevard that runs through the center of town, which is where all the shops, markets and restaurants are located. The town is rather deserted with hardly any cars or people.
Snuol is easily reached by private car, taxi or local bus. Highways 7 and 13 both pass through the town. From Memot the journey takes between 2 to 3 hours depending on road conditions. From Phnom Penh's international airport the trip can take around 14 hours by road.
