Zürich Zoologischer Garten (Zurich Zoo) is the principal zoological park of Zürich, Switzerland, established in 1929 and occupying a sizable landscaped site on the city’s edge. From Zürich Hauptbahnhof (Zürich main railway station) take tram line 6 (direction “Zoo”) to the Zoologischer Garten stop; the zoo’s main entrance is a very short 2-5 minute walk from that tram stop. By car the zoo is a few kilometres east of the city centre (Zürich HB) on the Zürichberg - there is on-site parking at the zoo.
