The Žižkov Television Tower is a prominent telecommunications tower in the Žižkov district of Prague, Czech Republic. It is a modern concrete and steel tower that stands among the city’s tallest structures and is easily visible from many central locations.
The tower contains transmission equipment and public viewing spaces that offer panoramic views across Prague. A set of oversized baby sculptures by Czech artist David Černý were attached to the tower in 2000 and have become a distinctive feature.
Construction took place in the late 20th century as a national broadcasting project and the structure has remained a functional transmission tower while also providing visitor facilities. Its contemporary appearance and location were controversial at the time of construction.
