How to Get to Zion's Hill
Zion's Hill is on the tiny Caribbean island of Saba; most visitors arrive on short inter-island flights from Sint Maarten (Winair) or by ferry when available. The island is small and travel between points is rapid but roads are steep and winding.
Princess Juliana International (SXM): The usual international gateway for Saba is Saint Martin’s Princess Juliana Airport. From Sint Maarten you can fly to Saba with Winair (several daily flights); flight time is about 10-20 minutes and fares commonly range around USD 100-150 one-way.
Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport (SAB): Saba’s own airport is tiny and serves only inter-island flights (Winair). Arrival here places you a short drive from most points on the island; taxis and rental jeeps are available at the airstrip.
Train: There is no rail service on Saba or nearby islands.
Bus / Ferry: Ferries operate from Sint Maarten to Saba at irregular seasonal schedules (operators include Voyager/Great Bay Express when running); crossings take roughly 90-150 minutes and fares commonly range USD 40-80 depending on operator and season. On Saba, local minibuses and taxis connect the small settlements (Zion’s Hill is on Saba and reachable by road from the airport).
How to Get Around Zion's Hill #
Zion’s Hill on Saba is on a very small island where walking is often the easiest way to get around short distances, but expect steep, hilly streets. Taxi service (local jeep taxis) is available for transfers and steeper routes. There’s no extensive public transit; if you want to explore the island more widely, plan taxi rides or arrange transport through accommodations. Roads are narrow and driving is best left to experienced drivers.

Nightlife in Zion's Hill #
Nightlife on Saba is very low-key. Evenings commonly centre on hotel bars or small guesthouse gatherings rather than busy clubs; occasional live music or island events can appear seasonally. If you want late-night entertainment, you’ll need to travel off-island to other nearby islands with larger tourist scenes.
Shopping in Zion's Hill #
Shopping on Saba is limited and focused on small shops, craft stalls and basic grocery provisioning. For more extensive shopping or specialised items you’ll need to look to larger islands reached by ferry or plane. Souvenirs and local crafts can be found in a few outlets around major settlements, but inventory is small and seasonal.
