How to Get to Ypoá National Park #

Ypoá is roughly 50-70 km southeast of Asunción, accessible by regional roads from Paraguarí and Pirayú. Most visitors drive from Asunción (about 1-1.5 hours) and then use local tracks to access park entry points. A high-clearance vehicle is useful in the wet season.

  • Hire a Paraguayan guide to interpret the diverse monte and submontane forests-flora and fauna are easy to miss without local knowledge.
