How to Get to Youghal
Youghal is best reached via Cork - Cork Airport and Cork city are the usual gateways. There's no direct rail service into town, so most visitors arrive by bus from Cork or by car.
Cork Airport (ORK): Cork is the closest major airport to Youghal. From Cork Airport take the Airport Bus or a shuttle into Cork city centre (20-25 minutes), then connect to Bus Éireann services toward Youghal from Cork’s bus station. Total travel time to Youghal is typically around 50-80 minutes depending on connections.
Shannon Airport (SNN) / Dublin (DUB): Shannon and Dublin are further away and require a longer road or rail+bus journey to East Cork; connections invariably run via Cork city (longer overall travel time of several hours).
Train: There is no direct train to Youghal. The nearest heavy-rail terminus for regular passenger services is Midleton (on the Cork-Midleton suburban line) or Cork Kent Station in Cork city. From Cork, trains to Midleton take about 25-30 minutes; from Midleton you can switch to a bus or taxi to reach Youghal.
