How to Get to Kinsale#
Kinsale is best reached via Cork Airport and Cork city. From Cork city centre buses run frequently to Kinsale; taxis from the airport are fast and convenient for door-to-door travel.
Cork Airport (ORK): The nearest airport to Kinsale (about 10-20 km). From Cork Airport you can take a taxi directly to Kinsale (around 20-30 minutes; typically €25-€40) or travel to Cork city and then catch a bus to Kinsale.
Shannon / Dublin: Shannon and Dublin are farther afield and require longer coach or rail+bus combinations to reach Kinsale.
Train: There is no direct train to Kinsale; the nearest heavy-rail station is Cork Kent Station in Cork city.
Bus: Bus Éireann and local bus services run between Cork city and Kinsale (journey ~30-45 minutes). Fares are low (a few euros) and buses depart from Cork city centre - from the airport you can transfer into the city and catch a bus onward.

Use Cork Airport and Cork city as your arrival hub. From Cork, buses are cheap and frequent to Kinsale; taxis and rental cars offer more flexibility for exploring the peninsula.
