Yivli Minaret Mosque

The Yivli Minaret Mosque is a historic Seljuk mosque complex in Kaleiçi, the old town of Antalya, Turkey, distinguished by its tall fluted minaret. The minaret and mosque are among Antalya’s best-known medieval landmarks.

The minaret’s fluted brick shaft rises prominently above the compact mosque and surrounding narrow streets; it is commonly cited as a symbol of the city and is visible from the harbour and adjacent promenades. The mosque and minaret form a small complex concentrated within the old city fabric.

The minaret and mosque were constructed during the Seljuk period in the 13th century and have survived as part of Antalya’s medieval urban core. The complex has been repaired and conserved at various times but retains its characteristic Seljuk brickwork and vertical fluting.

The site sits in Kaleiçi, Antalya’s walled historic district, close to the old harbour on the city’s western seafront. It is within walking distance of other historic monuments, shops and waterfront promenades.
