Yehi’am Fortress National Park is a protected area in northern Israel centered on the ruins of a historical fortified site and its immediate surroundings. The park preserves the fortress remains and a small area of the surrounding natural landscape.

The main draw is the fortress ruins, where visitors can walk among exposed stone walls and towers and follow short trails that loop the site. The park also offers picnic areas and panoramic views over the adjacent hills.

Archaeological remains at the site date to the medieval period and the ruins reflect successive phases of occupation and fortification. Over time the site has been conserved and opened to the public for education and recreation.

The park is located in Israel’s northern district near the community of Kibbutz Yehi’am, set on a hilltop within the Upper Galilee region.

• Visit late afternoon for slanted light on the stonework and fewer tour buses; combine with nearby lookout points for views of the Western Galilee.
