About Xuan Son National Park

Xuan Son National Park is a protected area in Sơn La province, Vietnam, covering forested mountains and limestone karst terrain. The park conserves forest habitats and supports a range of native plant and animal species.

Trails in the park lead through mixed forest and karst landscapes to viewpoints and small streams, with opportunities for wildlife observation and nature study. The park functions both for biodiversity protection and for regulated visitor access.

The protected area was established to preserve remnant forest and karst ecosystems within the region and has been subject to conservation management and community engagement measures.

It is located inland in northern Vietnam’s Sơn La province, in a hilly to mountainous landscape west of the Red River plain.
