How to Get to Wodonga#
Wodonga sits on the Victorian side of the Albury-Wodonga twin cities and is well served by regional flights to Albury or by rail/coaches to Albury with a short onward transfer. Trains to Albury and then a local taxi or bus are common for travellers from Melbourne and Sydney.
Albury Airport (ABX): The closest regional airport serving Albury-Wodonga with flights to major Australian cities; it’s about a 20-30 minute drive to Wodonga (roughly 25 km). Taxis or rideshares and local car hire are the usual onward options.
Melbourne Tullamarine Airport (MEL): For more international and domestic flight choices Melbourne is the main hub - driving from Melbourne to Wodonga takes about 3.5-4 hours (approx. 330 km) or you can take a coach or train to Albury/Wodonga.
Train: NSW TrainLink and V/Line services run to Albury Railway Station (on the NSW/Victoria border). From Albury station a short taxi ride or local bus (or a walk across the river bridge) brings you into Wodonga (about 5-10 minutes by taxi).
