How to Get to Vize

Vize is a small district town in Kırklareli Province best reached via Istanbul. The main gateways are Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW); from either airport you'll usually continue by intercity bus or car to reach Vize.

By Air

Istanbul Airport (IST): Istanbul Airport is the main international gateway for European and long‑haul flights. From IST you can take the Havaist shuttle to central Istanbul (Taksim or Yenikapı) and then an intercity bus from Esenler Otogarı to Kırklareli; expect total travel time to Vize by public transport ~3.5-5 hours. Havaist fares to Taksim are roughly 55-75 TRY; intercity buses to Kırklareli typically cost ~150-250 TRY; a private transfer from IST to Vize will be faster (≈2-2.5 hours) but considerably more expensive.

Sabiha Gökçen (SAW): Sabiha Gökçen on the Asian side serves many European flights. From SAW take Havabus/Havaist or metro+bus into central Istanbul then an intercity bus from Esenler Otogarı or Alibeyköy to Kırklareli; expect ~4-6 hours total by public transport. Shuttle to central Istanbul is about 50-70 TRY; intercity bus fares as above.

By Train & Bus

Train: Vize itself is not on Turkey’s main high‑speed rail network. The nearest larger rail hubs are Tekirdağ/Çorlu (Çorlu Airport area) and stations in Kırklareli province; long‑distance rail to the region is limited. Trains to the European side of Istanbul (Söğütlüçeşme/Heybeliada area) then bus connections are the usual rail‑plus‑bus option.

Bus: Intercity buses are the most practical public option. Buses depart Istanbul’s Esenler Otogarı (Istanbul Otogar) for Kırklareli from operators such as Metro Turizm and Kamil Koç; the ride to Kırklareli is about 2.5-3.5 hours and costs in the ~150-250 TRY range. From Kırklareli you can take a local dolmuş (shared minibus) or taxi to Vize (≈30-60 minutes, small local fare).

How to Get Around Vize #

Vize is a compact district town and easy to get around on foot; the centre, municipal offices and main shops are all walkable. Regional minibuses (dolmuş) and intercity buses link Vize with Kırklareli and larger cities; local taxis are available but less frequent. Bring cash for smaller vendors and check departure times-services run less often than in big cities.

Where to Stay in Vize #
