Villa La Magia

Villa La Magia is a historic Medici villa complex in Quarrata in the province of Pistoia, Tuscany, and forms part of the ensemble of Medici villas and gardens in the region. It is a rural estate with a villa, park and associated buildings that illustrate the role of country villas in Tuscan estate management.

The site comprises the villa and a surrounding historic park with formal lanes and planted areas, plus a small civic museum and civic spaces. Visitors typically walk the grounds, view the villa exterior and park, and consult the museum displays on local history and decorative arts.

The estate has medieval and Renaissance origins and was integrated into the network of Tuscan rural properties controlled by regional ruling families from the later medieval period onward. Over time the complex was adapted and extended; in the 20th century parts of the property passed to municipal use and public access was established.

The villa sits in the town of Quarrata in the Pistoia area of Tuscany, within cultivated countryside and parkland. It lies to the west of Florence and is within the Pistoiese plain and hill zone.
