Villa Emo

Villa Emo is a mid-16th century Palladian villa in the Veneto region, built for the Venetian Emo family and recognized for its architectural clarity and agricultural complex. It is a well-preserved example of Andrea Palladio’s approach to country-house design.

Commissioned in the 1550s by the Emo family and attributed to Andrea Palladio, the villa remained an agricultural centre for the estate while also serving as a country residence. Decorative programs were executed soon after construction and the building has been preserved as a notable example of Renaissance villa architecture.

The villa sits near the village of Fanzolo in the comune of Vedelago, in the province of Treviso, Veneto, surrounded by agricultural land typical of the Venetian plain.
