Villa Armira

Villa Armira is a large late Roman villa complex near Ivaylovgrad in Haskovo Province, Bulgaria, notable for its extensive mosaic floors and Roman domestic architecture.

The villa dates to the Roman period and reached its largest phase during the 2nd to 4th centuries AD; it was discovered and excavated in the 20th century and has been the subject of archaeological conservation since. Excavations revealed domestic rooms, baths and the mosaic decoration that identify it as an elite rural residence.

The ruins lie in southern Bulgaria near the town of Ivaylovgrad in Haskovo Province, close to the Greek and Turkish borders in a rural, hilly landscape.
