The Üç Şerefeli Mosque is an Ottoman-era mosque in Edirne, northwestern Turkey, noted for its large central dome and a minaret featuring three balconies. Its name translates as the “Three Balconies” mosque.

The building presents a spacious courtyard and a prayer hall beneath a prominent central dome, with one minaret carrying three balconies that distinguish its silhouette from other Ottoman mosques. The interior and exterior display Ottoman stonework and design elements of the 15th-century period.

Constructed in the mid 15th century under the patronage of Sultan Murad II, the mosque represents an important phase in early Ottoman mosque architecture and influenced later imperial designs.

The mosque stands within the historic core of Edirne, among other Ottoman monuments and close to the city’s central areas.

Üç Şerefeli Mosque is in the centre of Edirne and is reached on foot from the town centre. Intercity buses from Istanbul and other Turkish cities arrive at Edirne’s bus terminal (otogar); from there a short taxi ride or a walk will bring you to the historic center where the mosque stands. By car from Istanbul the route is west on the O‑3/E80 motorway for about 230-240 km (approximately 2.5-3 hours depending on traffic).

• Plan your visit outside of the main Friday prayer period to avoid times when access for visitors may be limited and the mosque is busiest with worshippers.
• Approach via the mosque's main courtyard entrance and allow time to study the mosque's distinctive architecture-the three-balcony (üç şerefeli) minarets are easier to appreciate from the courtyard than from the street.
• Combine the visit with nearby Edirne landmarks (within easy walking distance) and be prepared to follow mosque etiquette: modest dress and removing shoes when entering interior prayer areas.
