Victory Square (Piața Victoriei) is a central traffic and civic square in Bucharest, Romania, located north of the historic city centre. It is one of Bucharest’s principal public spaces and a key administrative axis.

Architectural and urban highlights include the large government building known as Victoria Palace, which fronts the square and serves as the national government’s principal office. The square is also flanked by broad avenues and institutional buildings, making it an important point for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic.

The square emerged and developed as Bucharest expanded in the 19th and 20th centuries and took on its modern administrative role in the 20th century. It has been the focus of urban planning that concentrated governmental functions along the axis north of central Bucharest.

Piața Victoriei lies about 1.5-3 km north of Bucharest’s historic core depending on the route and is well connected by tram, bus and the Bucharest metro system. The square sits at the junction of several major boulevards in the northern part of the central city.
