Vela Luka on Korčula island is reached by air to Split or Dubrovnik and then by ferry or catamaran. The sea crossing is the defining part of the journey; plan schedules carefully and book ferry tickets in advance during summer.

By Air

Split Airport (SPU): The primary international airport for reaching Vela Luka via Split. From Split you can take a ferry or catamaran to Vela Luka (island of Korčula); travel time by sea is usually 3-4 hours depending on the vessel and route.

Dubrovnik Airport (DBV): An alternative if flying into the southern Dalmatia area; from Dubrovnik you can take a bus and ferry combination to Vela Luka, often taking 4-6 hours in total depending on connections.

By Train & Bus

Train: Croatia’s rail network does not reach Korčula island; the usual land approach is to take train or bus to Split or Dubrovnik and continue by ferry.
