The United States National Arboretum is a 446-acre public botanical research and display garden in northeast Washington, D.C., established by Congress in 1927. It houses national collections of trees, shrubs and ornamental plants and serves research, conservation and public education roles.

- Capitol Columns: A set of 22 freestanding Corinthian columns from the U.S. Capitol, relocated and displayed on a grassy terrace as a prominent landmark on the grounds.
How to Get to United States National Arboretum #
The National Arboretum is in northeast Washington, D.C., about 4-5 km from the U.S. Capitol. Access is by car (on-site parking available) or by Metro plus bus: the closest Metro stations are Stadium-Armory (Blue/Orange/Silver lines) or Union Station with a short bus or taxi ride. Local DC buses serve routes near the arboretum.
