The Ulakhan-Chistay Range is a mountain group in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) that contains some of the tallest summits of the wider Chersky mountain system, including peaks above 3,000 metres.
The range has been mapped and explored during Russian and Soviet-era geological and geographic surveys; it forms part of the broader orographic structure studied for climate and permafrost research.
The range sits in northeastern Siberia within the Sakha Republic, well inland from the Arctic coast and separated from major urban centres by hundreds of kilometres of roadless or seasonal-terrain country.
