Tykocin is a small historic town west of Białystok - reach it via Białystok by bus or taxi after arriving in northeastern Poland by train or via Warsaw. The Białystok→Tykocin bus is the standard public connection.

By Air

Białystok / Regional airports: Białystok currently has limited commercial services; most travellers fly into Warsaw Chopin (WAW) or Warsaw Modlin (WMI) and continue by land. From Warsaw the road/train journey to Białystok is about 2.5-3 hours.

Warsaw Chopin (WAW): Warsaw is the main international gateway. From WAW take a train or bus to Warsaw Central and then an intercity or regional train to Białystok (2.5-3 hours); from Białystok take a local bus or taxi to Tykocin (about 30-45 minutes).
