Branicki Palace in Białystok is a large Baroque palace complex built and expanded by the Branicki magnate family in the 17th and 18th centuries, now one of the city’s principal historic landmarks.

The site presents a main palace block with decorated facades and an arcaded courtyard, plus formal gardens laid out in the French Baroque manner. Interior rooms and parts of the complex are accessible as museum spaces or institutional buildings, and visitors commonly tour the gardens and exterior courtyards.

Originally constructed and enlarged by members of the Branicki family during the 17th and 18th centuries, the palace served as a noble residence and political center. Over time it underwent restorations and changes of use; in the 20th century parts were repurposed for public and institutional functions.

The palace sits in central Białystok in Podlaskie Voivodeship, forming a focal point of the historic city centre and lying within easy walking distance of the city’s other civic landmarks.

Branicki Palace sits on Rynek Kościuszki (Kościuszko Market Square) in central Białystok. From Białystok main railway station (Białystok Główny) it is a 15-20 minute walk (about 1.2 km) south along Kopernika and Sienkiewicza streets. Local buses stop around the city centre; the palace is visible from the main square.

• Enter through the main courtyard (Podlaski Museum entrance) for the best view of 18th-century interiors and the preserved Mirror Room.
• Look for the shallow wear grooves on the palace steps - they mark centuries of foot traffic across the courtyard.
• If possible, time the visit to coincide with an evening concert in the palace's concert hall; acoustics are surprisingly intimate.
