Tustumena Lake is a long glacially influenced lake on the Kenai Peninsula in southern Alaska, notable for its length and remote shoreline.
The lake offers wide open water views, fishing opportunities, and access points used by locals and backcountry visitors; shore access can be limited and conditions change seasonally. Boating and shoreline recreation are the most common activities where access allows.
The lake and surrounding area have been used historically by local Indigenous communities and later by residents and recreational users on the Kenai Peninsula; the name reflects local linguistic origins.
Located on the southern Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, the lake lies inland from the Gulf of Alaska and is accessed from roads and trails that cross the peninsula.

Tustumena Lake lies on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska. Access to the Kenai Peninsula is by road via the Sterling Highway (Alaska Route 1); from towns such as Homer or Kasilof you can reach trailheads and lakeshore access roads by car where available. Much of Tustumena Lake country is remote and is commonly reached by boat or floatplane from Homer or other Kenai Peninsula hubs-plan water or air transfer in advance.
