Fares on the MTR are distance-based - use an Octopus card for best fares and quick transfers.

Bus: Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) and other franchised routes connect Tuen Mun with neighbouring New Territories towns (Yuen Long, Tsuen Wan) and Kowloon; journey times vary from 15 minutes (local hops) to 50-70 minutes (to Kowloon) depending on route and traffic. Local green minibuses and franchised buses are the usual surface options for areas not directly on the MTR; pay by Octopus or cash where allowed.

How to Get Around Tuen Mun

The easiest way to get to and from Tuen Mun is by MTR (Tuen Ma Line) combined with the Light Rail for local hops.
