The Tsaghkunyats Mountains lie to the northwest of Yerevan. By car, take the M1 north out of Yerevan toward Ashtarak and then follow local roads into the foothills (driving distance into the range depends on your chosen trailhead but is typically 20-40 km from central Yerevan). Regular shared minibuses (marshrutkas) run from northern Yerevan terminals to Ashtarak and nearby villages; from those villages it is a short hike into the mountains (walking distances vary by trailhead).
