Troyan Monastery is an Orthodox Christian monastery located on the southern slopes of the Balkan Mountains near the town of Troyan in Lovech Province, Bulgaria. It is one of the country’s principal monastic complexes and an active religious centre.

Troyan Monastery is about 10 km from Troyan town center. From Troyan railway station or bus terminal, take a local taxi or bus toward Oreshak (15-20 minutes). Driving via Route 35 from Lovech or Sofia’s Route 1 is straightforward; there is parking near the monastery.

• Climb the hill behind the monastery for a view over the Iskar valley; the path is steep but short.
• Respect the dress code inside the active parts: shoulders and knees should be covered; women may need a headscarf in certain services.
• Visit in August for the monastery's Feast Day (Dormition, August 15) when pilgrims bring candles and sing through the night.
