Troy Museum

The Troy Museum is a purpose-built archaeological museum near the site of ancient Troy (Hisarlik) in Çanakkale Province, Turkey, opened in 2018. It was created to display and conserve artefacts recovered from the Troy excavations and nearby sites.

Exhibition halls present material from Bronze Age through later periods with labelled finds, pottery, figurines and architectural fragments arranged chronologically; displays link artefacts to phases of occupation at Troy. An outdoor area near the museum entrance includes an interpretive replica of the wooden Trojan Horse and vantage points toward the archaeological mound.

The museum was commissioned and constructed in the 2010s to consolidate dispersed finds and provide modern conservation facilities; it opened to the public in 2018. Collections include material from multiple excavation campaigns at Hisarlik and adjacent sites.

Sited close to the archaeological tell of Hisarlik in the Çanakkale region of northwestern Turkey, the museum lies a short distance from the ancient site and is accessible from the regional centre of Çanakkale.
