Stingy Nomads
A couple sharing detailed Camino and hiking guides, packing lists and trail resources.
About Stingy Nomads
Stingy Nomads is run by Campbell and Alya, a couple who describe themselves as water lovers and hiking addicts. They write first-person trip accounts, gear recommendations and practical walking guides, and they say every word on the site is their own. The site has been publishing since at least 2017 and has grown to more than 300 posts, including stage-by-stage Camino and Rota Vicentina guides, downloadable GPX files and printable PDFs. Stingy Nomads also operates an affiliate gear store. Posts are image-rich with many original photos and include maps, GPX tracks and packing advice.
If you want trail-level detail and navigation-ready guides, Stingy Nomads delivers like a steady, well-prepared walking companion. We like the hands-on, first-person voice that treats each stage as a mini adventure, complete with distances, ascent and descent figures, surface breakdowns and clear route points. The writing in the sample is practical and unshowy, geared toward getting you from trailhead to town, and each guide usually ships with GPX files, an embedded Google map and plenty of photos. Their output is active, a couple of new, thorough guides each month, making this a reliable resource for pilgrims and long-distance walkers planning routes in Iberia and beyond.
