About Roam & Thrive
Roam & Thrive is a boutique, image-first luxury travel blog run by Alex Wieteska. Alex is a travel writer, editor, photographer and designer of bespoke travel experiences who has spent more than a decade living and long-staying in places including the United States, the UK, China, Mexico and Italy, and has visited over 50 countries. Since 2020 the site has grown to more than 500 posts and publishes several times a week, offering curated travel guides, insider tips and bespoke hotel and food recommendations. Posts are packed with original photography and practical planning details.
A design-led, image-first travel resource with the intimate tone of a seasoned nomad. The voice is relaxed and observant, leaning into slow, intentional travel while still delivering extremely practical advice. Long, comprehensive guides are the norm - the Stockholm guide runs to nearly 4,700 words and includes neighbourhoods, top restaurants, hotels and activities - and articles are lavishly illustrated, often with dozens of original photos. Check-in style hotel pieces and curated city itineraries are the standout content, and the site is very active, publishing several times a week so there is almost always a fresh guide to read.
