Petite Passport
Curated city guides highlighting design-led places to eat, shop and stay across Europe.
About Petite Passport
Petite Passport is the personal travel project of Pauline Egge, a journalist with a taste for beautifully designed places. Launched in 2010, the site has grown into a large archive of curated city addresses, with more than 2,190 items in its sitemap and a regular publishing rhythm. Pauline says she visits and photographs almost all places herself and the site offers short city guides, downloadable e-guides for specific cities, a shop and the coffee-table book Design Stays. Members can access maps, bookmark favourites and read member-only entries. Posts focus on discreet, design-led hotels, cafes and shops rather than exhaustive checklists.
A single editor's eye gives Petite Passport its distinctive, refined tone. We find the writing tight and observant - short pieces that read like polished recommendations from a stylish friend rather than long travel essays. It is best for travellers who want quick, trustworthy addresses for city trips, especially design-minded hotels, cafes and shops. Standout features include the themed city e-guides and the Design Stays selection, plus the regular Destination of the Week posts that surface fresh places. The site feels current and curated, with punchy entries packed with practical links and a clear visual sensibility.
