About Breathedreamgo

Breathedreamgo is the personal travel site of Mariellen Ward, an award-winning freelance travel writer based in Rishikesh, India. Ward began travel blogging in 2005 and launched Breathedreamgo in August 2009. The site now has more than 370 posts indexed in its sitemap and publishes a few times a year. It concentrates on travel in India and South Asia, offering longform guides, cultural essays, safety and practical advice for women travellers, and a bespoke tour service. Posts are richly illustrated with the author’s own photography and include clear disclosures for compensated links and advertising.

What makes Breathedreamgo its own is Mariellen’s steady mix of intimate travel storytelling and meticulous, usable guidance. The writing reads like letters from a seasoned traveller: reflective, often personal, and packed with specific tips. Sample pieces are long and thorough - the Jaipur guide runs to roughly two thousand words and carries over twenty photos - so the site is best when you need deep planning material or cultural context rather than quick listicles. We enjoyed the curatorial feel of the Jaipur and festival pieces and the practical advice aimed at women travellers. It is a slow-burn resource we return to for careful trip planning and inspiration.
